Three Bags Full
Not that I flew halfway across the world to go yarn shopping or anything, but it would have been criminal to be staying down the street from a fabulous store and not go say hi - twice. Well three times actually, but can you blame me? Look at this place it's wonderful.
If you ever find yourself in Vancouver be sure to check out Three Bags Full on Main Street. The choice is amazing and the staff are fabulous and super helpful. They are terrible enablers though and will tempt you will all manner of lovelies that are difficult to resist. While I only managed to bring home two bags full of yarn I was delighted with what I found and could easily have filled a third and a fourth and a fifth...

They were wonderful enough to wind it all for me too.
Lorna's Laces Shepherd Sock (80% superwash wool/ 20% nylon) - no ideas yet
Malabrigo (100% merino) - wristwarmers/ headband
Euroflax (100% wet spun linen) - lacy scarf
Blue Sky Alpaca Silk (50% alpaca / 50% silk) - scarf
A few other lovelies may have come home with me too but they're a secret so shhhh!
Oh for more luggage space and a higher weight allowance.
TBF is also where you'll find Christa of the Christa Knits podcast about knitwear design, well worth a listen if you get the chance.
I'd love to say I had a relaxing and refreshing time on holiday but I got a stinking cold a few days before I went which knocked me off my feet a little for the duration of my trip. I still had a lovely time though. I also got to look at the blog from another computer and realised what a mess it looks in other browsers so I'll be working on an overhaul shortly so don't be surprised if things looks a little different over the coming weeks.

I can't believe I didn't know about this yarn shop! I've been to Vancouver twice in the past year, once with two other knitters, and neither time could we find a decent yarn shop!
Your blog looks fine on my end!
Glad your back! What a vacation! Look at those shelves of yarn!
love travel but the best part of going away is coming back home- with your new yarn.....!
blog looks normal on my mac.

So glad to hear you had such a great trip, and took such riches home with you! Did you enjoy my part of the world? :0)
Tough to travel when you're sick. I'm glad you got to go somewhere really important.
Blog looks fine to me. Glad you're back.
You only went to the yarn shop three times? You must have been ill!! ;-)
The haul looks fab and I can't wait to see what you make from it.
BTW I use Firefox and your blog layout looks fine to me.
That shop looks absolutely amazing! Glad you had such a good time :)
"If you ever find yourself in Vancouver" - shaddup! ;) It looks great, I didn't realise you took a cold with you, isn't that typical? I'm so glad you had such a great time though.
Wow. Get me to Vancouver! What a colorful, bright, and well-stocked shop! Glad you had a good time :)
I wish my LYS looked like that, its fab. Glad you had a good time and well done on your lovely purchases.
Oh wow, what a marvellous shop - I love the way all the yarn looks on the shelves.
when I was in Vancouver last year it wasn't open yet. It looks like a GREAT place to go. Thanks for the pics!!
I think everything looks fine as well.
Wow. Your arms were bursting there with that basket! There looks to be a BIG secret in the works then if all you can show us is 6 skeins. Hmm...
Welcome back! The only thing wrong with your blog is the lack of posts since April! ;)
Sorry that you had such a bad cold and on holiday too :( still you seems to have had a great yarn stash :) Gosh I too could go mad !!

Glad you had a wonderful holiday. Stunning yarn shop, and Malabrigo is delicious - so soft.
Ack, you were so close to me! I've never been to Three Bags Full, but now I want to check it out. Looks like you had a grand time and spoiled yourself nicely, good for you :-)
Beautiful shop, and such gorgeous yarns you came home with! Sounds like you had an amazing time :)
I don't have any problems viewing your blog! I love the LL and the Malabrigo. I can't wait to see some FOs with them!
Awww. Looks like a fabulous yarn shop. Sadly, I was not a knitter when I was in Vancouver a few years ago. Hope your cold is over and welcome home!!
It was delightful meeting you.. and sending all those lovely skeins away in your bag, too!
Yes, 3BF is the most delightful place I've ever worked - the colours on the walls make me happy, and chatting about yarn and what people are making with it, isn't too bad either!
If any of the rest of your commenters come to Vancouver and need a list of yarn shops to see, send them my way *grin*
Wow, you scored some awesome yarns there! It's been so long since I have even stepped foot in a yarn shop:) Your blog looks great on omy end.
yummmmm I don't think Id want to leave! Glad you enjoyed your vacation.
It makes me want to go right up there ...maybe one day.
That shop is amazing! The blog looks great in my browser.
Looks like you had a fab time. Fab yarn purchases!
Sounds like you had a wonderful time and came home with a wonderful haul!!
That's an awesome yarn shop. I reckon you actually bought the contents of that basket too :-D Lovely stash enhancement!
What a wonderful-looking shop! I can't believe I didn't know it was there when I was in Vancouver a couple years ago.
As for the blog, I find that there is no pleasing all browsers. I've just given up and have decided to let Internet Explorer users suffer when they visit my blog. :)
Beautiful! So much yarn! It's a great name too, as it describes the minimum of bags I'd walk out with if I were to visit.
Did you wave as you flew over? I think I saw you! ;)
Ooh, I'm jealous--looks like excellent shopping, and I'm tickled by their name, which is too cute.
Wow. And you look so happy! There's nothing like a bit of yarn-induced happiness to get you going.
