Take That Pixies!

Hahaha! Lookie what I've got. It appears the Pixies thought I was having a bad enough time without them interfering so they gave me my yarn back. They even put it away where it belongs, in fact it's the only yarn in the house that was tidied away in the right place which is probably why I couldn't find it in the first place...

It appears things really have been going my way this week. I put in a last minute submission for another book and have just heard that it's been accepted. I can't tell you anything about the design itself, but I can discuss the book. It's tentatively called Sensual Knits and will have 25 high-fashion, sophisticated designs inspired by runway looks. All will be created with noble fibres like silk, cashmere and merino. There will also be a Sensual Crochet for the hookers amongst us ;) They're scheduled to be out in Autumn '07 so be sure to take a peek when they come out.

As for knitting that I can show you - ta dah!

I know, how many times can one girl knit the same thing? I think this is my eighth, but I really like making it as it's super quick, it's also the most liked item by people that have received them. It's Tassle Tops from Kids Knits by Lesley Anne Price - chunky yarn worked all in garter stitch. Jenn was so gutted when Scarlett outgrew her first one that she asked me if I could make her a bigger one. This is a 1-2 year old size and as she's so tiny it will fit her for a while. I keep threatening to make myself an adult sized one, who knows...

Speaking of nose - it's doing really well, thanks for all your get well wishes. It's a lot less painful now and despite picking up a mild cold - air goes in, air comes out! It's amazing. I've been so chuffed with my new function that I've been wandering around the house like some sort of phone sex pest heavy breathing through it.

Hey, I read about Sensual Knits...but where??? I thought it was out already! Congrats on the submission!!!

Love the sweater--you've got repeat "customers" (can't think of a better word for friends that dig your babyknits enough to ask for more when their kids grow larger!)

And um, that phone sex sentence made me nearly blow milk through MY nose!

Hooray for the book. I'll keep looking. You'll look sensational in your own version of that sweater. Enjoy the nose -- the idea of you snuffling along cracks me up, of course. Maybe the pixies realized you'd sniff them out, he he.

Phone-sex it up, I say! You have many years of nose-breathing to make up for, so go for it!

Congratulations on your submission being accepted -- the book sounds very cool and I'll definitely look forward to seeing it.

Anything that cute, I think it's completely justified to knit over and over again. What an adorable little hoodie.

Glad the pixies are back on your side, and that the nose is improving. Breathing is a good thing :)

I knew you would not be intimidated by a few ill-mannered pixies!

Yay for improving nose, and the hoodie is really cute. It's time for your life to start improving again, and better nose and FO are good ways to do that.
